The original design of this blue and white classic from the Fayencerie de Gien dates back to the nineteenth century. Designer Isabelle de Borchgrave has added refined color effects to the traditional “Oiseau Bleu” pattern by adding enchantingly designed flowers, fruit and butterflies.
Brand description
The Faïencerie de Gien was created in 1821 in Gien (Val de Loire), in the heart of France. Collaborating with painters and engravers, who were invited to imagine new motifs and shapes, Gien has continuously and successfully diversified from a technical and artistic point of view. A member of the prestigious Colbert Committee, the faiencerie has also been awarded the “Living Heritage” company label.
